Bio

The lines between character and reality blur for Canadian actor and musician, Kalvin Olafson. Known for his past musical endeavours in Vancouver-based rock outfits The Smokes and Minto, Olafson channels his country rock persona, Chase Coulee, as a tribute to his roots in rural Manitoba. These roots are firmly planted in the soil that Johnny Cash, George Strait and Alan Jackson nurtured, and grew into modern influences like Jason Isbell, Paul Cauthen, Chris Stapleton, and Sturgill Simpson.  Olafson channels his heroes with Chase Coulee bringing the boot-stomping ruckus and beer-soaked honesty of an all-night kitchen party, with songs that will be stuck in your head long after the sun comes up.
